Greensboro, NC -- You can help out your favorite non-profit while getting in a little exercise Saturday.

The Human Race is a 5k charity walk and run that allows participants to raise money for their favorite non-profit.

Holly Rose-Galli, Executive Director at The Volunteer Center, stopped by the Good Morning Show Friday to talk about the event, along with Jason Spangler whose non-profit is participating in the race.

Spangler has only one kidney that functions 12% and needs constant care to function. Jason's team is the JVS team, and all donations go into an account with the National Foundation for Transplants to help Jason and his kidney donor with transplant related expense.

The Human Race is Saturday, March 31st, at the Greensboro Coliseum. The gates open at 9:00am, with the race starting at 10:00am.

Donors may submit their donation to a participating nonprofit or to The Volunteer Center's office at 1500 Yanceyville Street, Greensboro, NC 27405. If you are mailing your donation please include attention "Human Race," the name of the nonprofit your are supporting, and your name, address and phone number.
