WFMY News 2's Tracey McCain is live at the Winston-Salem Greek Festival showing you all the fun in store this weekend.
Of course there's the food and the menu looks fantastic. There's full course meals featuring Moussaka Plates, Pastichio Plates, Chicken or Pork Souvlaki Plates, and Roasted Leg of Lamb Plates. Oh and don't forget the pastries.
There will be plenty of music, dancing and children's activities. You can learn the secrets of Greek cuisine in our cooking classes. There's also a walking display of men representing ancient Greek warriors dressed in full authentic Greek armor.
While you're there enjoy the Boutari Wine tasting for $12. And pick up a raffle ticket for $2. Or get three for $5. Prizes include two round trip tickets to Greece or $2,000 cash.
The Winston-Salem Greek Festival starts at 10am Friday and runs through Sunday. The hours vary each day so be sure to check the website for additional details. It's at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church on Keating Drive in Winston-Salem. Admission is $1 for adults. Children under age 12 are free.
