Reidsville, NC - Peach season is here and the good news is the crop is three weeks early. And the taste is sweet as ever.
WFMY News 2's Tracey McCain went to Haight Orchards in Reidsville where Ed & Eileen Haight have run the family owned orchard for 50 years.
The Haights say this is the first time they've seen their peach crop come in so early. The Haights normally start picking peaches around July 8th. This year they started selling their crop in mid-June.
The Haights thought the unseasonably warm weather would ruin their crops but it turned out to be one of their best.
