A Pimento Burger You Will Love!

Greensboro, NC - The folks at Emma Keys Flat Top Grill came by to give us the skinny on their not-so-skinny burger!  You will love this pimento cheese burger called The O'Reilly.  Here's the recipe.

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups brown sugar

1 1/2 cups ketchup

1 1/2 cups red wine vinegar

1/2 cup water

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

2 1/2 tablespoons dry mustard

2 teaspoons paprika

2 teaspoons salt

1 1/2 teaspoons black pepper

2 dashes Texas Pete

Pre-heat flat-top grill to 425 degrees

- Takes 6 ounces of raw grounded Angus beef and lightly roll the beef into a rounded ball - season with salt and pepper to taste

- Place burger ball on flat-top and press until patty is approximately 1/2 inch thick

- Place sliced vidalia onions on grill and spray with olive oil/water mixture - stirring occasionally

- Place top and bottom bun on upper left or right edge of flat-top

- When juices from burger turn medium red, flip burger - do not press again

- Flip buns

- Top burger with pimento cheese

- Place bun top on burger

- Remove bun bottom and place barbeque sauce, pickles and grilled vidalia onions on it

- Take top burger off the grill and there you have it

Directions

In a blender, combine brown sugar, ketchup, vinegar, water and Worcestershire sauce. Season with mustard, paprika, salt, pepper, and hot pepper sauce. Blend until smooth.
