Greensboro, NC - First Lady Michelle Obama will make a campaign stop in Greensboro on Wednesday to support her husband's re-election effort in North Carolina.

The first lady will speak at a rally on the campus of UNCG at Fleming Gymnasium at 1:15 pm.

This will mark the first official campaign stop for the First Lady in Greensboro, and follows a visit last week from Ann Romney, the wife of the presumptive GOP nominee Mitt Romney.

These visits highlight the important of North Carolina for both the Obama and Romney Presidential campaigns, as polls show both candidates are essentially tied in recent polls.

The First Lady's visit will bring with it road closures and an enormous police presence around UNCG.

The Guilford County Sheriff's office and the Greensboro Police told News 2 they will be providing about 200 officers to support the Secret Service.

Susan Danielsen, the Public Information Officer with the Greensboro Police, told News 2 they would not release information on road  closures due to security reasons, but Danielsen said motorists should expect road closures and re-routing around Fleming Gymnasium.
