Greensboro, NC -- An upcoming program hosted by the Women's Resource Center aims to help displaced homemakers get into the workforce.

Displaced homemaker doesn't necessarily mean a woman who is divorced or suddenly single. In this economy it can mean she has to go to work to add to the money her partner is bringing into the household.

You can register now for the New Choices Pre-Employment Program. It offers classes that prepare women for entering or re-entering the job market. You'll work on your resume, interviewing skills, networking, budgeting, self-esteem and women's health, to name a few topics.

It runs August 28-September 13 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 9:30AM-2:30PM.

It's at the Women's Resource Center at 628 Summit Avenue in Greensboro.

The registration deadline is Wednesday, August 22, 2012. To register, call Lucy Wellmaker at 275-6090.
