Sometimes
when your kid asks for help with their homework, it's not the easiest thing to
do when you haven't done algebra or pre-calculus in years! But, the Parents of
Guilford County Title I Schools want to help. They're hosting a workshop to
help you tackle all of your kids homework questions. The "Parent's Homework
Dictionary" workshop helps parents better understand their kids homework while
also starting a dialogue with them. Each family will get a free copy of "The
Parent's Homework Dictionary" when they attend and can use it as a reference
guide for kids from Kindergarten to 10th grade. They're available in
several different languages including English, Spanish, Vietnamese, Korean,
Cambodian and Chinese.
If
you would like to attend the workshop, please register at http://gcsnc.com/parentacademy/calendar
and select the time you'd like to go. Walk-in registration will also be
accepted, although pre-registration is preferred. For more information, call
the Title I Office at 336-370-2368.
