You can't escape social media, it's around us 24/7, and if you're a parent you know your kids are on it all day. However, there's a new festival happening this weekend to help promote a better understanding between parents, youth and media. It's called "YAM Fest." Students and parents will learn how to enhance their lives and relationships through social media.
There's also a "Big Ideas" competition where Guilford County Students can submit their ideas to improve Greensboro's technological profile. They could win a 300, 700, and 1000 dollar grant. The deadline to submit your idea is today. For more info please visit YAM Fest.
