Greensboro, NC -- Five dogs have a second chance for adoption thanks to a Tennessee pilot and a Greensboro rescue group.
Jon Wehrenberg flew the pooches into PTI Airport Thursday morning.
He rescued the dogs from an over-crowded shelter in Knoxville.
He says the shelter would have euthanized the dogs Friday if he didn't rescue them.
Rescuers think the dogs will be easily adopted.
Jon has made more than 20 dog rescue trips to the triad since february.
He spends more than $200 in gas for each trip.
