Greensboro -- The Weaver Academy teacher accused of having sex with one of her students had been previously investigated.
A Guilford County Schools spokesperson says school administrators at Weaver Academy investigated the allegations against Macklin twice, but couldn't find any information.
Greensboro police say the parents of the student involved reported the teacher, not the school. According to the search warrant application, the "parents had suspicion of an inappropriate relationship between their son and Ms. Macklin starting in December of 2006."
The student told police "he engaged in intercourse with Ms. Macklin 3 to 5 times."
She worked as a drama teacher until last month. A Guilford County School spokesperson says Macklin's contract was not renewed.
