GREENSBORO -- North Carolina A&T University is preparing its staff to take on a more diverse campus.
Some faculty members are taking a spanish language class to learn how to communicate with Spanish speaking students and parents.
Employees in the administration building meet two times a week for one hour to learn conversational Spanish.
Only four weeks into the program, the class is still at novice level, says Professor Nino.
But by the end of the course, Professor Nino hopes to have everyone at an intermediate level. For example, being able to help Spanish speakers fill out applications.
The class is a pilot program, but A&T is looking into expanding the program to other parts of the campus.
