Mail Carrier Honored By US Postal Service

Colfax, NC -- The US Postal Service honored a local man Monday for saving another man's life.

Last week, we told you about Charles "Tony" Hood, who saved a Colfax man's life while on his mail route on September 11th.

Monday, the US Postal Service honored Hood as a hero for his efforts. Representatives presented him with a heroes USA plaque.

A small group gathered to hear from both Hood and the man he saved, stroke survivor Dan Marshall.

Postal service representatives thanked Hood for helping Marshall, and for serving the Guilford County community.
