Greensboro, NC -- Local technology fans celebrated this morning with the opening of a brand new Apple store in Greensboro.
The store opening sounded almost like a concert or basketball game as customers and employees cheered the first customers on. Some adults seemed like kids in a candy store, looking at i-pods and computers, and of course asking questions.
Keith Williams said having the store in the Triad will save him some gas money. "I've been driving to durham for a couple years now to the apple store, so having one here in greensboro is like, like a dream come true, really."
The first thousand customers got t-shirts unique to the new store, which won't be printed again.
The Apple store can even be used as a resource to teachers. The store offers field trips. The Field Trip program is free and enables teachers at local schools to book Field Trips to the Apple Stores in their communities where they can utilize our Mac computers and the knowledge of our expert staff to get help with their digital projects.
