King, NC -- The Guilford County Sheriff's Office and other local law enforcement agencies arrested a man accused of soliciting a minor for sex over the internet.
Investigators say David Carroll Pittman chatted with an undercover officer but thought he was talking to a 13-year-old girl. During a period of several months Pittman from King, NC talked to the girl about traveling to her location to have sex.
Pittman works as a Professor at Gaston Community College in the Information Technologies Department. Investigators say the Pittman also chatted with an undercover officer on his work computer.
Pittman is charged with Solicitation of Minor by Computer to Commit an Unlawful Sex Act.
