
Greensboro, NC -- Independence Day will include the usual fireworks, cookouts, flags and fun. But, People across the Triad will also take part in TEA (Taxed Enough Already) Party protests across the area Saturday.
Participants will come together in Greensboro at 11:30am at the Nathaniel Green Monument Lawn at the Guilford Courthouse Military Park. They'll also stay after the protests to honor the NC signers of the Declaration of Independence. Then they'll gather under shelter #7 at 1:30 p.m. for hot dogs, ice tea, and apple pie.
Organizers are asking supporters and community members to take part in the protest.
Protest will also be held in Stokes County. Supporters will gather from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at the Stokes Co. Fairgrounds.
Protests are also scheduled for other areas across North Carolina.
