
Winston-Salem, NC -- NBA player and Winston-Salem native, Chris Paul stepped on the court Saturday to teach kids everything they need to know about the game of basketball and staying dedicated to something they like.
Kids took jump shots while practicing their dribbling skills at the YWCA.This is the fourth year the former Wake Forest basketball player has returned to Winston-Salem for Chris Paul Weekend.
The now New Orleans Hornets player says he wants kids to learn something more valuable than the game of basketball, and that's to remember your roots.
The Chris Paul Weekend runs through Sunday.A community church service will be held at 11:00am at the Benton Convention Center South Main Hall. It is open to the public. A church social will follow the service.
