Mebane, NC -- Tanger Factory Outlet Center announced they will soon begin construction on an 80 store center in Mebane.
The Greensboro based company closed on a 52 acre piece of land at exit 154 on Interstate 40/85. The center will include outlet stores such as Saks Fifth Avenue, Banana Republic, Coach Factory, Nike and others.
"We are very excited to begin creating one of the South's premiere outlet shopping attractions," stated Steven B. Tanger, President and Chief Executive Officer for Tanger Factory Outlet Centers, Inc. "This project represents a $60,000,000 investment by Tanger in this growing Piedmont community and the great state of North Carolina," he added.
The outlet center is expected to break ground in December. Completion is slated for late 2010. There are two other Tanger outlets in the state, Blowing Rock and Nags Head.
