
Rowan County, NC--Tuesday Rowan County Sheriff's Department investigators executed a search warrant at a home on Wilkinson Rd. in Mooresville. During the search, they located and seized approximately 747 grams (1.6 pounds) of marijuana , 50 hydrocodone tablets, 19 oxycodone tablets, 82 morphine tablets, 4 alprazolam tablets, and one semi-automatic pistol.
Officers started their investigation after receiving information that the operators of Mooresville Raceway were selling marijuana from their residence located near the racetrack.
After finishing their investigation officers arrested Corie Allen Leazer and charged him with possession with intent to sell marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was placed in the Rowan County Detention Center under $2,500.00 secured bond pending.
They also charged: Jody Allen Leazer Wendy Bateman Leazer, who turned themselves in with:
- Possession with intent to sell marijuana
- 2 counts of possession with intent to sell schedule II controlled substance
- Possession with intent to sell schedule III controlled substance
- 2 counts of possession with intent to sell schedule IV controlled substance
- Trafficking opium by possession
- Maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
Both are in the Rowan County Detention Center under $5,000.00 secured bond.
