Lexington, NC -- 2 million North Carolinians will see more than a third of their income go towards housing this year.
That puts many of them at risk for foreclosure
But there's help.
Lou Spry lost her husband in June of last year.
Soon after his passing, her $1,230 house payment became more difficult to meet.
The agency that helped her keep her home is now one of five that came together under one roof Thursday as the Lexington Home Ownership Center.
"We've had success in our own individual programs, and we really feel like working together we'll be a greater success especially, especially for the customer," said Executive Director, Antionette Kerr.
Even if you don't live in Davidson County, you can still get help.
Family Services of the Piedmont offers financial help to homeowners across the Triad.
