A cold front will approach the area tonight and bring scattered showers to the Triad into Saturday morning. Meanwhile cooler temperatures will begin to spill in from the north.
High temperatures on Saturday will be in the upper 40s with high temperatures on Sunday struggling to climb out of the middle 30s.
The cold air on Sunday combined with a continued stream of moisture out of the southwest will produce the chance of some freezing rain into early Sunday. Light ice accumulations will be possible on elevated surfaces such as trees, landscaping and railings. Stay tuned for updates as more details will become evident as Sunday approaches.
