Chantee Lans is a general assignment reporter at WFMY News 2. The Temple University graduate has reported in New York, Missouri, and Mississippi.
Before stepping in front of the camera, Chantee worked as a broadcast associate at the national desk at CBS News. There, she assisted senior producers on CBS Evening News with Katie Couric.
Chantee's first reporting job was at WRTI 90.1 FM, a National Public Radio station based in Philadelphia. The Long Island native got her start in journalism during high school as an intern for Nick News with Linda Ellerbee.
Chantee believes in empowering children. She spent a year teaching inner-city teenagers in Philadelphia how to produce radio segments that reflect the truth of their lives on the Internet. She also sat on the board of directors for the Mississippi Children Home Services.
Chantee is an active member of the National Association of Black Journalists, The National Press Club and The Society of Professional Journalists.
