Sheriff: Man Wanted For Robbery Of Convenience Store

Madison, NC-- Deputies in Rockingham County are on the lookout for a man they say committed an armed robbery early Sunday morning.

Rockingham County 911 received a call at 4:11am, in reference to a robbery at the Eagle Express Convenience Store on US 220 bypass near NC Highway 68 in Madison.

According to the police report, a man came into the store and asked for a pack of cigarettes. When the cashier was ringing up the purchase, the robber lifted his coat revealing a pistol in his waistband and demanded money. 

The clerk said he handed cash over to the suspect, who left with the money and the pack of cigarettes he attempted to buy.

The Robber is described as a White Male, wearing sunglasses, 5'9" tall, in his 20s with a beard and fled the area in an older model Blue or Teal in color pickup truck, possibly a Chevrolet S-10. (See Pictures) with a White Female with reddish-blond hair wearing a white T-Shirt.
