Greensboro, NC -- Old prescriptions often wind up in your medicine cabinet. But they can get into the hands of the wrong people including children.
So the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) is offering a safe way for you to get rid of them Saturday.
Law enforcement officers are collecting unused, unwanted and expired drugs. They say getting them out of your home can help prevent alarmingly high rates of abuse.
The DEA's website shows most officers will be at Walgreens pharmacies in Greensboro from 10 am 2 pm.
You can drop off your prescription drugs anonymously, though they won't accept any liquids.
