Triad--Today's sunshine and warmer temperatures are welcome change over the cloudy and cool conditions on Saturday.
With a mix of sun and clouds, temperatures should warm into the low and mid 70's this afternoon. The chance of a shower is only 20%.
High pressure over New England and a stationary front near the South Carolina boarder will control Piedmont weather through Tuesday. This pattern will provide a moist northeast to east wind over the area. As this wind flow strengthens tonight, clouds are expected to increase.
We start the new week with a mostly cloudy sky and cooler temperatures. Monday's high will be 67. Some spotty drizzle is possible on Monday.
The clouds will linger into Tuesday as high temperatures warm into the low and mid 70's.
Finally, much more sunshine is expected Wednesday and Thursday. Temperatures will warm into the low and mid 80's by the second half of the week.
