Triad -- Officially we don't welcome summer until late June. Unofficially, it will feel like it this week.
Over the weekend, a stationary boundary hovered just to the south of the Triad. That made for a chilly Saturday. Sunday was a bit milder because the clouds were able to mix out and the sun warmed us up. That front will finally move well to our north on Monday and the real warming begins on Tuesday.
Monday will be the coolest day of the week. With mainly cloudy skies and a small shower chance, highs will range in the mid 70s. By Tuesday, the heat is on. Highs will be in the low 80s on Tuesday and they will stay there most of the rest of the week. One thing you may not be ready for will also make a bit of a return... the humidity. While it won't be up to typical summertime levels, it will be a bit higher than we have gotten used to.
Overnight lows will also feel more like summer. With the increased humidity, that will also allow for warmer low temps. We should wake up to the 60s just about every day this week.
