Chad Price Charged With Damaging Property In Randolph County

Asheboro, NC-- A teenager is facing charges for doing damage to school and personal property in Randolph County.

Deputies said on Tuesday, April 24 they received a call from Randolph School about four school buses at Hopewell Elementary School being damaged. According to the report, the damage consisted of several windows shot with a BB gun or air rifle.

School officials said the damage was estimated at $1400.

While investigating the crime, deputies said they learned of additional damages to property in the surrounding residential area that may be related. People living near the school reported vandalisms to their vehicles and homes.

Detectives said they identified two suspects while conducting interviews about the crimes and today made an arrest.

They've charged 19 year-old Chad Allen Price with the following crimes:

  • Trespassing/Impede School Bus
  • Weapon on School Grounds
  • Injury to Real Property

The other suspect is a juvenile and a petition will be sought for that individual through the Department of Juvenile Justice.
