(Burlington, NC) -- On 5/2/12 at 12:38am, the Burlington Police Department responded to 509 Chestnut St. in reference to an armed robbery in progress.
Upon arrival officers located James Sterling Oldham with a laceration to the forehead and Courtnae Shontae Wiley with a laceration to the left ear.
Wiley and Oldham told officers they were exiting their car when they were approached by three black males dressed in all black. One of the males had a red bandana over his face. The suspects then each produced a handgun and demanded money. The suspects struck Wiley and Oldham in the head with the handguns. The suspects left on foot in an unknown direction with an undetermined amount of money from Oldham. Wiley and Oldham suffered minor injuries and refused any medical treatment at the scene.
