Jamestown, NC -- The 10th Annual North Carolina Weiner Roast was held at Castle McCulloch. The event raises thousands of dollars for Dachshund Rescue.
The gathering also reunites Dachshund rescuers with former foster dogs who now are in permanent homes.
Specialty vendors offered Dachshund items including doormats, statues, figurines, and treats. The silent auction and raffles raise the most money for the rescue.
Items up for bid are donated by local businesses. Games and events include bobbing for weiners a costume contest and a kissing contest between dogs and their owners.
