Triad -- A cold front moved though the state on Saturday. It brought rain, which ushered in cooler temperatures. The cool air should stick around through the day on Monday. With partly cloudy skies, highs should be in the mid 70s on Monday.
On Tuesday, things begin to change. There is another low pressure system heading this way. That will bring an increase in clouds and a 40% chance of afternoon and evening showers and t-storms. Highs will be in the upper 70s.
Wednesday brings the best rain potential. There is an 80% chance of rain both during the day and into the night on Wednesday. That will be a welcome sight as the Triad is more than 4 1/2 inches behind on rainfall for the year.
The end of the week will wrap up with another cool-down and more sun. Highs on Thursday and Friday will be in the low 70s with plenty of sun. Overnight lows will also be noticeably cooler. It will drop to the upper 40s Thursday and Friday nights.
