Ex-Con Shoots Man And Charge With Multiple Counts

(Winston Salem, NC)  --  Police in Winston Salem responded to a shooting call last night shortly after 9 o'clock.  Steven Frazier told police he was in the 1100 block of W. Academy Street speaking to a female friend when they were approached by the suspect, whom they know as "Red". (Red was identified as Reginald Fullard.)

Fullard began shouting profanities at the female as he was walking towards her and Frazier. Frazier approached the suspect to confront him about the way he was talking to the female. The suspect then produced a pistol and shot Steven Frazier.

Steven Frazier was taken to Wake Forest Baptist Hospital for treatment. His injuries do not appear to be life threatening.

The suspect, Reginald Fullard, was later located at the corner of W. Academy and Peters Creek Parkway. He was charged with
assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill our cause serious injury.  He was also charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a stolen firearm.
