Greensboro-- The Greensboro Grasshoppers payed special tribute Saturday to the US Military.
For Armed Services Day 2012, the Hoppers invited the Patriot Guard Riders to escort a wounded warrior onto the playing field.
Army Sergeant Joey Smith was wounded during his fourth tour in Afghanistan. He threw out the first pitch as the Hoppers took on the Lakewood Blue Claws.
