Donald Arnder Shot, Killed During Robbery In Mt. Airy, NC

Mt Airy, NC-- Police in Mt. Airy are still investigating a robbery that turned deadly late Friday night.

Officers were dispatched around 11:51pm to a business on North Andy Griffith Parkway in reference to a shooting. When they arrived at Eddie's Zip Food, officers learned that an armed robbery had occurred and Donald Claude Arnder was shot during the crime.

Arnder died at the scene as a result of his gunshot wound, police said.

Saturday night, Police said one suspect turned herself in to police in West Virginia and they have warrants for two other suspects. The suspects have been identified as: Emanuel William Foster, a 23, of Bluefield, WV and Joshua Robert Berry, 28 of Bluefield, WV. Detectives said they have warrants  for both on charges of: Murder, Attempted Armed Robbery, and Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery.

Sarah Lynn Looney, 24 surrendered to teh Bluefield Police Department in W.VA. She is charged with: Murder, Attempted Armed Robbery, and Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery.

Officers with the Mount Airy Police Department and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) are in charge of the investigation.
