Graham, NC-- Last week a Alamance County Marine was found dead in his barracks.
The Marine was identified as Anthony Romano-Caruso from Burlington, NC which is in Alamance County. WFMY News 2 talked with Caruso's father who said his son started talking about being Marine when he was a little boy.
After graduating from Williams High School, Anthony Caruso accomplished his mission, he became a US Marine and served until his untimely death last week.
Caruso's death is still under investigation by the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS), which investigates deaths unrelated to combat or illnesses.
Thursday, Caruso's body returns home to a hero's welcome and a Patriot Guard escort.
If you want to show respects to Caruso, the escort will be begin on I85 southbound at the weigh station and continue to Rich & Thompson Funeral Home at 306 Glenwood Ave in Burlington. The route goes down I85 south to Exit 143, right off the exit to Church St, right on Church St to Glenwood Avenue and end at the funeral home on Glenwood Ave.

Funeral: Sunday, June 3 at same location.

Caruso's father Tony Caruso tells WFMY News 2 tonight that they are scheduled to meet with NCIS investigators next week. He said they hope to get some answers on what caused their son's death.
