Washington, DC -- Keeping track of everything your child or baby does can be a job in itself and staying on top of the changes in product regulations can be another.

WFMY News 2's Chantee Lans found some simple and easy tips to remember to keep your kids safe.

Some of the most popular child items with constant safety reports are cribs, strollers, toys, car seats and baby food and infant formula.

There are federal websites designed to show the latest product recalls and complaints.

Recalls.gov will save you time because the website shows you recalls from all federal government regulatory agencies like the Food and Drug Administration, Highway Traffic Safety Administration and Consumer Products Safety Commission.

There is also a newer website that launched in March of 2011 called Saferproducts.gov.

According to Consumer Products Safety Commission Spokesperson Alex Filip, this website was mandated by U.S. Congress in 2008.

By law...The 'consumer products safety commission'...Must reveal every single recall ever done...

Keep in mind this agency monitors more than 15 thousand different products... So there should be plenty of info...

Some other websites are foodsafety.gov and safekids.org.
