Greensboro, NC --Today, The Triad gathered to see if we can break a world record for high 5's.
We attempted to break the simultaneous high five world record on July 4th.
In 2011, we tried to set the world record for the most drummers.
We fell a little short of the world record, but still beat the national record. This year, we're making it a little easier.
"This year we wanted to try to do something that everybody can participate in. This has no age requirement, no skill requirement, no equipment requirement. Anybody can do it. All you have to be able to do is a high five," said Aisline Spain, Grassroots Productions Operations Assistant.
Judges say that we had a total of 2,998 "high-fivers" a few hundred short of the record set in Las Vegas. Thank you to everyone who came out to make this event successful!!
