Spring Lake, NC -- A medical examiner says a 16-month-old boy found in a tub at a home in Spring Lake died from a blow to the head.

The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office says Keiden Demus died Monday. Officers went to the house after a 911 call that reported the child was unresponsive, possibly because of a drowning.

Sheriff's spokeswoman Debbie Tanna would not say who found the child. She did not release the parents' names.
The investigation is continuing.
