Asheboro, NC -- The North Carolina Zoo is celebrating the "Bear Necessities" on Saturday.
Visitors will have a chance to explore life as a bear by observing black and grizzly bears. Between 10 am and 2 pm the zoo will offer talks with the bears' keepers and education displays.
Guests can bring teddy bears and other stuffed friends to the Teddy Bear Fair outside the North America entrance, for a check-up with zoo veterinary staff.
Radio Disney activities will take place on the North America Plaza from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Also, visitors can meet and talk to black bear keepers at the bear exhibit at 11 a.m. and to grizzly bear keepers at that exhibit at 1:30 p.m.
All activities are free with paid admission.
