Oak Ridge, NC -- A group of soccer players laced up their cleats for a good cause Saturday morning.

Teams of young soccer players teamed up in a 3 v. 3 soccer tournament to raise food donations for the Greensboro Urban Ministry.

This was the first "Help Kick Hunger" tournament at Oak Ridge Park.

Each participant had to donate a full paper bag of food to play.

And, this isn't the first time this week the community has reached out to help the Urban Ministry. Earlier this week, WFMY News 2 asked viewers to help raise food for the Urban Ministry and families who had not yet received their food stamps.

Thanks to you, the food drive raised more than 2,000 pounds of food!
