Greensboro, NC -- Drivers beware, heavy rain has caused flooding and down trees on roadways.

Thunderstorm warnings started as early as 2pm in Alleghany and Wilkes Counties. Then, the storm system started moving East across the state.

Guilford County was not under a thunderstorm warning, but Doppler radar estimates 3-5 inches of rain fell suddenly, causing flooding. A flash-flood watch was in affect until 6:30 pm.
