Burlington, NC-- They complained and police heard the community's cries about prostitution in their neighborhood.
According to the Burlington Police Department, the complaints came through the Connecting Burlington Communities (CBC) tip line from community members about prostitution. Police said the complaints were specifically for the areas of North Main Street near Ireland Street and the immediate surrounding areas.
Armed with community complaints and location, the Burlington Police Department Community Oriented Police Officers started an investigation. And for the past two weeks Community Police Officers via undercover officers conducted a prostitution investigation in the concerned area.
Monday, police announced that as a result of their investigation 10 people were arrested and charged:
Karen Renee Jones, 48 is charged with: Solicit for Prostitution
Lasheba Antonia Bradsher, 37 is charged with: Solicit for Prostitution and Solicit for Crimes Against Nature
Misty Gail Neese, 31, is charged with: Solicit for Prostitution, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Twaina Marie Young, 47, Solicit for Prostitution and Solicit for Crimes Against Nature
Armando Zamora Perez, 32, is charged with: Solicit Prostitution and Driving While License Revoked
Carlos Joaquin Cabrera, 33 is charged with: Solicit for Prostitution
Rubicel Fuentes-Cardenas, 20 is charged with: Solicit for Prostitution
Jeffrey Todd Richmond, 46 is charged with: Solicit Prostitution
Solicit Crimes Against Nature, 2 Orders for Arrests for Probation Violations and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Ruben Zuleta Garcia 46 is charged with: Solicit for Prostitution
Domingo Sanchez Ramirez, 31 is charged with: Solicit for Prostitution
