Winston-Salem, NC -- Police said they have made an arrested in the Tuesday afternoon kidnapping and sexual assault of a woman.
According to police, a man, wearing all red, approached a woman who was eating lunch in her car in the parking of a Lowes Foods. The man threatened the woman with a knife and told her to move to the passenger seat.
He got into the car and drove to a dirt road police say led to a single-family home. The man then forced the woman to perform a sexual act and robbed her of an undisclosed amount of money, according to a police report.
Finally, the suspect drove to a Sam's Club, left the car and ran away.
Wednesday, police announced that as a result of their ongoing investigation Howard Wesley Page was taken into custody at the Winston-Salem Police Department and charged with First Degree Sexual Offense, Second Degree Kidnapping and Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon.
