Man Charged With Trafficking Opium

Burlington, NC-- A week long illegal drug activity investigation has ended with one arrest in Burlington.

Wednesday, Burlington Police release information that they have arrested 45 year-old Joel White for selling prescription medication in the Burlington area.

The arrest was made after an undercover officer with Community Crime Abatement Team bought prescription medication containing Opium on Tuesday, July 10, according to the police report.

White is charged with four counts of Trafficking Opium and Driving While License Revoked. Joel White was issued a $100,000 secured bond and is currently being held at the Alamance County Jail.

Officers are continuing their investigation.
