Triad -- The average high temperature this time of year is 88. Most of last week was spent below that average. That followed an extremely hot week with highs close to 100. The coming week will be somewhere in the middle... warmer but without extremes.
As high pressure sets up over the east coast, it is pulling in warm and humid air. The core of the heat should miss us to the west and even the north. Still we are headed back to the 90s.
Highs on Monday will be in the low 90s and it will get progressively warmer through mid week. We top out in the mid 90s on Wednesday. Then a cold front will pull south and cool us down a bit by week's end. Highs will be back in the mid 80s by next weekend.
Thunderstorm chances will also crank back up this week. There is a chance just about every day through Friday.
