Candor, NC -- Three Candor Police Officers are back on the job after they were fired in December 2011.
Last year the small five person force was disbanned, with the exception of one officer, and Town Commissioners refused to provide an explanation.
Over time, a lot has happened in Candor, and recent events have led to former Commissioner Wayne Holyfield's resignation and an investigation by the SBI.
Since Holyfield's resignation all four of the officers that were fired were offered their jobs back. One officer was able to find other work, but Chief Randy White, Officer James Pierce, and Officer Jeremy Blake accepted.
Paperwork was processed and finalized today to make their re-employment official.
