Asheboro, NC -- A local insurance agent has been arrested for fraudulently obtaining more than $9,500.
The Department of Insurance's criminal investigators say, between October 2009 and May 2010, Keith Wilhoit of Aflac wrote and submitted 61 fake insurance policies using the names of 37 people.
Wilhoit was arrested Monday in Randolph County and placed under a $10,000 secured bond.
He's been charged with one count of Obtaining Property by False Pretense.
His court date is set for July 17.
