Greensboro, NC -- ACC Commissioner John Swofford calls what's happening in State College a tragedy from every angle, starting with the young kids who were Sandusky's victims.

He told reporters at the 41st Annual ACC Kickoff that the NCAA is in uncharted water because there is nothing to compare this situation to.

"Certainly. When a tragedy like that happens that goes well beyond anything related to athletics, we hope that the right people find the right approach in terms of what should be done," Swofford said.

Later today, the following joint statement was offered collectively by the ACC Head Football Coaches:

"The situation at Penn State is a tragedy from all angles, most specifically for the victims. It's our responsibility to represent the institutions we serve, while always being mindful of our place within collegiate athletics."

NCAA President Mark Emmert is expected to announce the sanctions against Penn State Monday at 9 a.m. at the NCAA's headquarters.
