Staley, NC - "No, I'm really not that athletic...I'm really not," said Nicole Love.
That's how Nicole Love, a 19 year-old describes herself when it comes to sports.
Love says she doesn't play many sports but she's a pretty good horse barrel racer. She won the 2012 2D Teen Nation Barrel Horse Assoication Youth World Championships in Perry, GA.
"When they told me I won it. I was really excited...I wasn't really saying much. I was just excited," said Love.
She has two horses named, Fifth of Jack and R.U.A. Panama. And Fifth of Jack is said to be a character.
"He's usually kind of intimidating. He likes to pin his ears back and run after people. And I believe he gets a kick out of the reaction he gets from people."
Love rode both horses at July's competition.
"They respect me and I respect them. And we kind of get along."
Love told News 2's Tony Smith, that she started to ride horses, when she was 6 years-old. She got her first pony from her grandfather.
So, what's on the agenda for this teen?
"In the meantime, I'm just going to keep going to the big races and doing what I love," said Love.
Love's next horse barrel competion will take her to South Carolina.
