Greensboro--As you put the burgers and dogs on the grill this afternoon or Labor Day, keep in mind that you cookout could be briefly be interrupted by some heavy showers.

Leftover moisture from Isaac is merging with a stationary front over Virginia. This along with daytime heating will lead to a 50% chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms for today through Wednesday. The showers may pop up anytime day or night, but they favor the afternoon and evening hours.

Dew point temperatures are in the low and mid 70's. This means there is a lot of water vapor into the atmosphere. This fact may lead to areas of locally heavy rainfall especially with more organized thunderstorms.

The high temperature today will be 87 and in the mid 80's for Monday through Wednesday. Overnight lows will be in the low to mid 70's.

Our normal high temperature this time of year is 84 and our normal low temperature is 66.
