Greenville, NC --  Students at East Carolina University in Greenville are gearing up for Monday's visit of Vice Presidential Hopeful, Paul Ryan.

Even though Mr Ryan is a Republican even student democrats say they are glad he chose thier campus.

Says ECU Senior,  Neil Lotredge" It's awesome. Anytime somebody that big comes to ECU it generates a lot of excitement around here on campus. It gives everybody something to look forward to. I'm sure a lot of people are going to be going to it, and I'm jealous I can't go."

" I'm think its kind of cool that my school is one of his first stops after the the convention. And I've never been to a rally like this before."

Cory Noe, Vice President of ECU's College Democrats added, "While I may not agree with Mr. Ryan on everything, I certainly respect him and his choice to come here, and I'm more than willing to listen to what he has to say. But I hope we're able to throw some question his way as well."

The doors will open to hear Mr. Ryan at 11AM in the ECU Student Recreation Center.  The speech is set to begin at 1PM.
