(Mt. Airy, NC)  --  More than 250 people came prepared to help celebrate the grand opening of the Mount Airy Chick-fil-A and be part of the First 100 Camp Out.

The lucky 100, chosen by raffle this morning, will be setting up their tents and camping in the parking lot at 2007 Rockford St. until Thursday morning at 6 when they each will receive 52 free Chick-fil-A meal certificates at the official grand opening. That's $26,000 worth of free food being given away.

Those camping out include many locals, but people who have traveled from other states are also joining in the celebration. Libby and Jake Knupp from West Virginia are here for their 95th Chick-fil-A grand opening and said you could not find a friendlier place than Mount Airy. They even celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at their 50th Chick-fil-A grand opening in New Orleans a few years ago.
